Winter, Start All Over Again

I've always mentioned that I love holding on to winter. Maybe it's because I live in the Sonoran Desert, in which we only have the privilege of enjoying winter days for around 2 months a year, the rest of the year it is practically summer.
Winter fashion has always caught my eye a bit better than summer trends (which I still love). Hats, scarves, faux fur, boots, coats, you name it! Even though I could never wear them all at once, because even if it is freezing at sun rise by mid morning you are melting. I had to find a way to make winter outfits cute but still breathable and not too hot.
Today's outfit is a little example of this. Thin black tights, over-the-knee boots, a burgundy dress in a t-shirt material, a black hat, and to finish everything off I wore a thin blanket scarf as a poncho. All the elements that this outfit incorporates are thin and not too warm but it will still give the cabin fever effect. (If you live in a place where it gets a colder I would suggest layering up more.
* I know that we are already in spring, and that the cold days in Hermosillo (Sonora/Arizona) have been gone for a few weeks. These photos were taken then, but since I have readers from different places and a best friend who is experiencing snow this very moment it just felt right, it is dedicated to them. I promise the next posts will be focused on the rest of us that have to put up with the heat!
Love forever,
Tathys
