HOMECOMING
Hello lovelies, I was not sure if I should introduce myself or not, since future me will probably be the only person reading this. But for the purpose of us remembering the date and time when this was created, and the person I am at this particular moment in time, I will.
My name is Tathyanna Rueda-Flores, but I prefer to go by Tathys. As I am writing this, it is the last 15 minutes of the 16th day of august of the year 2020, I am 26 six years old (since I have refused to aknowledge my 27th birthday, because I have not used it thanks to corona), it is a rainy summer night and if I may be a little honest with you, the creation of this blog was a way to procrastinate with some office work I procrastinated about all day. Don´t worry I´m not being completly irresponsible, it is a Sunday night after all.
We are living amidst a worlwide pandemic, and I have been on self-isolation and confinement (in Mexico) for exactly five months. During this time I (as many of you might realate) have had my ups and downs, moments of productivity and lapses of hard core anxiety, I have taken up two of my old hobbies; shopping and video blogging. Ever since I was 18 years old I have loved vlogging, blogging and instagramming. I did run a super unsuccesful, half-a**ed blog back in the day. A few days ago I actually ran across it on my pre-historic iPad, let me tell you that it actually made me crack-up some tears. I have always enjoyed expressing myself through writting, It made me a little sad that I had not done it in so long. So I decided to take up this hobby once again. Taking it all the way back to the blogspot era.
I want this blog to be a homecoming for myself, and for any other women who might stumble upon it. Going back to our roots, taking back our voice, doing the stuff that truly injects pleasure and joy to our lives and that we found one too many excuses to stop doing, whatever that may be for you. For me I can tell you is self-doubt, lack of confidence and "lack of time" (which is funny because I tend to have plenty of time to Netflix and chill).
I want this space to be a safe place where we can fully express ourselves, share each others' growth stories, tap into our femininity together, and shop a little because, girl, in order to conquer the world we NEED a great outfit.
I can only dream about hearing your stories. Always remeber the sun shines for us all to bloom!
Write to you soon.
